PTE Core (NEW) – The New and Simple Path to Canadian Immigration
Pearson has announced the launch of PTE Core, a brand-new English language proficiency exam that will be available in February 2024 for CANADA MIGRATION . Its purpose is to evaluate general English proficiency for everyday scenarios. It is in line with the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level and has been authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for all Canadian government economic visa categories, such as work, migration, and citizenship visas. The exam, which is entirely digital and has four sections—Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking—uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assess and grade the test-taker’s English proficiency.
PTE Academic is designed to test your English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for the purpose of getting admissions from international colleges and universities. Since November 2021 PTE test duration reduced from three hours to two hours. The Number of test items reduced from 70 – 82 to 52 – 64 without any changes in the overall test format.

PTE Academic Eligibility Criteria 2019- Pearson- the PTE AcademicTM conducting body does not prescribe any specific PTE Academic 2019 eligibility criteria.
- However, according to the PTE Academic eligibility criteria 2019, applicants need to be at least 16 years of age at the time of appearing in the examination.
- Students who are below 18 years of age will have to produce an evidence of parental consent to take the English proficiency test.
- Since the eligibility criteria of PTE Academic 2019 is not specified, aspirants planning to take the test must also check the eligibility criteria of the institutes they wish to apply.

PTE Academic is the world’s leading computer-based test of English for study abroad and immigration purposes. You can register for the test online or by phone. These scores are valid for a period of 2 years.
The PTE is a 3 hour test and consists of three main parts, Speaking and Writing, Reading and Listening. There are twenty different question formats that range from multiple choices to essay writing and interpretation of information. PTE Academic assesses real- life, academic content, so you will hear excerpts from lectures, and describe the graphs and charts that you see.
You must be at least 16 years of age. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you must provide a signed parental consent form before taking the test.
You can take PTE Academic as many times as you like. This means that institutions will not be able to see if your scores are better or worse than the previous tries. You must however, wait to receive your scores before you can book your next test.
Yes, each section of the test is individually timed. You will see a timer in the top right corner of the screen counting down the remaining time.
Although both the IELTS and PTE have the same sections, the scoring pattern for both these tests differs. The PTE Academic however, assesses speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as academic skills in an integrated way in a single 3 hour computerized test.
PTE Academic is accepted by thousands of universities worldwide. It is also accepted for visa purposes by the Australian government.

Yes, however there will be a fee charged at the time. You may receive a partial refund if you cancel your test before the appointment date.
